As I was in my car driving to a gig I had with my band on Saturday night, I thought about the funny business breakfast meeting I had attended the day before. If you’ve been to Clinton Swaine’s excellent ‘Play to Win’ seminar  then you’ll be very familiar with the mantras (for business and life success) ‘rules are breakable’ and ‘everything is negotiable’. Well I put this into practice at the meeting I went to, much to the dissatisfaction of some of the other business owners lol. Watch my video musing for the little story about what happened… :-)

    Ah, poor Nigel.
He’s obviously realised that you offer a more comprehensive branding package than his little web design setup.
What scares me is that the other breakfasteers weren’t privy to that conversation he had with you otherwise they might have thought….hang on a second, what if she’s providing a far better service than you.
Leave them to it. They’re welcome to Nigel, working from his garage on his Commodore 64 :)

Yes my thoughts exactly Fabe! For someone who was supposed to be an expert in social media, in our conversation it became obvious that he really had no clue. Total scarcity mentality lol. However, on the upside, I’ve had an enquiry for a business promo vid to be produced, two opt-ins and a free invite to a local Chamber of Commerce big event from other meeting attendees, so that’s cool :-)

Really enjoyed your video. As for Breaking the Rules, it’s easier to get forgiveness than to get permission. I avoid asking permission to try something new and different.

Thanks :-) Yes, exactly, that’s my motto – do it then wonder if it’s ok or not ;-)

Can you make it so your comments are open upon arriving at the site as opposed to restarting the video if clicked half way through?
